Right out of the gate, this aspiring model was approached to do a two day shoot for a night wear company. A former model scout, she is now purusing her own modeling dreams.
PM: Tell us a little about yourself
MG: I am from the Boston area. I have always been attracted to the world of entertainment. Whatever it is, I feel I can do it. I mean act, dance, sing, and yes even model. I am kind of a show off, you know. I have always been involved in music. Being a singer songwriter, I have worked on a few demos and am currently working on my most current project.

PM: What steps have you taken to pursue a modeling career?:
MG: I was doing a search on the plus model industry when I came across PlusModels. I thought this would be the best place to start. So far I was proven right. PM has further enhanced my knowledge of the industry, but specialized to the plus model category. I have also started to send headshots to local agencies.

PM: Why are you pursuing modeling?:
MG: Well, believe it or not I kind of just fell into it. I left the corporate world to work as a model scout for a scouting company previously. That's when I realized I was a potential plus model, as I became familiar with the basic requirements for the industry. The more I scouted models, the more I wanted to be one. I am also pursuing a music career. But I thought modeling was a career that I could also do simultaneously. As they are a part of the same industry.

PM: Talk about any experiences you have had in your modeling pursuits.
MG: In my first week on the PM site, I received an email from the art director of a familiar company for work. I was shocked how quickly things started to happen. I was offered a two-day assignment in Vermont. However I did not have any agency representation, so I did not how to respond when I was asked my daily rate. Daily rate? Oh, my God. I thought. I need some help with this. And they needed a response very soon. I have never done this before, so I contacted PlusModels who kindly did some additional research for me. Anne gave wonderful advice, which led me to land my first real modeling job with an unbelievable pay. Very soon after I sent out headshots to local agencies. I have now received a call from Model Club Inc. They have set up an interview to meet. I am indeed excited to see where it all leads.
