Contest Details

Get out your bras and panties! PlusModels is hosting a plus-size LINGERIE Model Search just in time for Valentine's Day!

All entries will be judged by our panel of four professional models and ten finalists will be selected. The winner will be chosen by a public popular vote. Contestants in the final ten will be judged on suitability for lingerie modeling, overall photo appeal, and a personal statement. As always, this model search will be FREE to those who enter.

rules and guidelines

photo: This should be a tasteful lingerie photo geared toward the fashion/catalog industry rather than the glamour industry. If a photo is overtly sexually suggestive or pornographic it will be disqualified. We aren't admitting photos exposing nipples, crotch or full butt cheeks. The point of the photo should be to sell the lingerie.

acceptable attire: Bras (strapless, demi, full coverage, long line, bustiers, sport), panties (boy cut, french cut, boxers, bikinis, briefs, thongs are acceptable only if shot from the front), corsets, teddies, baby dolls, tanks, camisoles, body suits, briefers, garters, panty hose, stockings.

eligibility: You must be age 18 or over, a resident of the US or Canada, US dress size 12 +, female, and have made less than $25,000 modeling last year. Previous PM model search winners cannot enter (sorry ladies). Photos of poor quality will be eliminated. And yes, you must be wearing lingerie.

Spamming, vote collecting, and campaigning is STRICTLY prohibited and constitutes immediate disqualification. This includes asking members of mailing lists, Internet based clubs or groups, ICQ/IM/pager buddies and forums/message boards/BBS to vote for you and sending out anonymous e-mail soliciting votes. We can track where votes originate and have zero tolerance for vote-getting tactics.

please note: We are not accepting mail-in submissions. However, you have other options. Find a store that has a Kodak Picture Maker. This machine will scan your photo onto a disk or a CD-Rom (which you have to provide) so that you can use it on the Internet. Most Wallgreens, Target stores, Kmarts, and WalMarts have this system. If you visit Kodak's web site and enter your zip code, they will tell you where the nearest Picture Maker is located. It costs about $6 per scan, but you can fit more than one image on the screen. There is also a demo of how it works on their web site.

If you are nervous about doing it yourself, visit your local Kinko's and have one of their staff members help you out. If you visit Kinko's web site and enter your address, they will tell you where the nearest location is. Tell the staff member that helps you that the photo(s) is for Internet use and you want it in .jpg (pronounced J-Peg) format.
