Yes. I am regular model for Peg Lutz Plus. I have done fit and fashion modeling for her line of plus size clothing for the past year or so. How did you first become interested in modeling? I have ALWAYS wanted to model! When I was a kid, I think as early as 10 or 11, I would lock myself in the bathroom with my grandmother's makeup and put on my own Glamour Session! I would just do various poses in the mirrors and practice different looks, sometimes even adding the "click-click" noise of the camera! And you know what? I can't say that I've grown out of that either! I still do it every once in a while, I just have better makeup now! What about the plus industry intrigues you? Probably for the same reason some of the other models get into it--the need to show that it is possible to beautiful no matter what size you are. I have worked with teenaged girls for almost 8 years now and the damage that is done to their self-esteem, self-confidence and self-worth on a daily basis by these pencil thin models in the media is just TREMENDOUS! I have seen girls as young as 10 ALREADY dieting! It's absolutely ridiculous! What else do you want to tell the modeling world about yourself? Well, I love the fact that plus models are being more widely accepted and that we as a society are trying to move through this phaze of "Anorexic is Beautiful". I just hope that it continues and even expands. It is STILL hard for models my size to get work because "we don't sell," but I think just as in the past when size 14 "didn't sell," if you let us in we'll become more widely accepted and people will come to appreciate our curves!
